Long Overdue

WOW - it's been 4 months since my last post??!!   Where does the time go?

Here are some highlights from our last few months.

It snowed...a lot!

We went to South Dakota for Christmas.  The kids had a blast playing in the snow with their aunts.

 

We also made a gingerbread house.

Trying to get a decent picture of 5 kids age 8 and under on Christmas morning resulted in this.

And of course, we saw Santa and Mrs. Claus before holidays.

 

In February, UND played hockey in Denver so the kids wore their favorite Fighting Sioux gear.

 

James had some artwork get chosen for a county art show so we went to the grand opening.  He is with his friend Skylar who was also chosen for the show.

 

And lastly, we spent last weekend in Gillette with my mom.  Mostly, we swam at the awesome water park.  Lydia was sleeping when I had the camera out so I didn't get any of her.

 

Belated Halloween

This year for Halloween, we had a cowboy (James), a painter (Lydia), and a Pokemon (Charlie).

The boys had a parade at school.

 

Then Aunt Jeanene came to help us celebrate!

 

And this past week, James was chosen as the Warder Wildcat of the week!

He got to make a poster all about himself.

Lydia turns 2!

We also celebrated Lydia's birthday!  Our little 2-year-old is the picture of "adorable".

She got a new suitcase from Grandma and Grandpa.

And had lots of help opening her presents.

 

Jamie found this quilted growth chart for her - perfect!

Ice cream cake - her favorite!

 

We hung the chart up in her room.  She loves it!

 

Pumpkin Patch

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch last weekend with my parents and Cory, Jamie, and Kaylynn.

This time there was a roller coaster!

Quick Update

Way back at the end of August, James turned 7!! 

In the spring, the kids convinced us to plant a watermelon plant in our garden.  Lo and behold, we grew a watermelon!

 Unfortunately, it looked better than it tasted...

The boy's school had Field Day earlier this week so they both enjoyed a full afternoon of running.

First Day of School

School started last week!  We now have a 2nd grader (James), a Kindergartener (Charlie), and the cutest little sister ever (Lydia).
