How I Spent My 30th Birthday

It started off as a family day...Doug tilled up our garden spot while James and I watched. Then Doug and I planted zucchini, peppers, corn, beans, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Hopefully in about two months, I'll be able to post a picture of all of the vegetables we are harvesting!

Then later...I went out with my friends Carmen and Sue. As you can see, the 3 of us had a GREAT time and celebrated my 30th birthday in style.

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day! We are having a BBQ with some of Doug's family - Tricia, Dan, Sondra, Nathan, Carmen, and Sophie. Pictures to follow...

Week with Grandma

My mom was here this past week to spend time with her grandkids. I got lots of pictures of James and Kaylynn but surprisingly none of my mom! Here are a few good ones from the week.

And a couple of random shots of James. This was taken 10 days ago - he was enjoying watching it snow. (It was 80 degrees outside today.)

And playing with his new favorite toy. Everywhere we go, people comment on his hair...the pictures really don't do it justice.

Our new nephew!

We met our new nephew, Nathan, yesterday!! He is the adorable son of Doug's sister, Tricia.

He and James got along really well and even managed to share toys without any issues!

We're so happy that Nathan is a part of our family now. He is a great little guy with a sweet, laid-back personality. It is wonderful that James has another cousin living so close to him!

We also saw Doug's sister, Susan, and her husband, Todd, last weekend so I'll post those pictures soon in another post - don't want to leave any family out of the blog!!
