One Clapping Baby

A few weeks ago, James discovered that he can clap! He is very proud of his new trick and loves to show anyone who will watch. He also says "Daddy" pretty well but as you can see in the video, he won't do that on command.
And here are a couple of pictures from Father's Day last weekend. The first picture is James standing by one of his favorite toys passed on from Kaylynn, and the second is James and Doug in downtown Arvada. We had a nice family day at a festival in Olde Town. There were lots of shops and good entertainment for us and for James, so a good time was had by all!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Doug's parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last weekend and all of the family was in South Dakota for the festivities. As with all family reunions, we took a ton of pictures to commemorate the weekend. Here is a sampling...
Fourteen of us stayed at Doug's parents house which made for instant family bonding as well as bathing together (just for the babies, not the adults). Nathan and James enjoyed it!

James had all sorts of new toys to play with at Papa and Grandma's.

He also had fun playing with his cousins, aunts, and uncles.

We took multiple family pictures outside before the open house.

Kay and Chuck after 50 years together!

It all started with 6 kids...

And now there are 19 of us! The whole family - (back row) Lane, Amy, Bethany, Jeanene, Sondra, Keith, Tricia, Nathan, Susan, me, Todd, & Kelsie (front row) Toby, Chuck, Kay, Doug, James, & Wade

And lastly, we had James and Nathan pose on a John Deere tractor with Papa and Grandma. Aren't they cute?!

Visit with Linzy

Also while James and I were in Montana, we got to spend some time with my good friend Linzy and her daughters, Guildy and Hadley. Taking pictures of multiple children is never easy and this is the best one we got. I also got to see my good friend Charity...but for some reason we didn't take any pictures that day! It's always good to catch up with old friends and somehow after months of not communicating, we pick up right where we left off. :)

Time in Montana

James and I spent the last week visiting my parents and Pete. Here are some highlights of our week:

James ate alot of cheerios in his highchair which used to be my dad's.

He also played in the sink and showed us his latest trick - clapping!

He took a bath in Grandma's gigantic tub.

Goofing off with Uncle Pete

We attended the wedding of my cousin Alicia. Prior to the festivities, my mom did her best to get James' hair to lay down.

The beautiful bride and groom

My dad and his sisters - Ellen, Anne, and Cathy

My Uncle Dean and I enjoying the reception.

And as is tradition, we took pictures under the "Wolff Corporation" sign.
