His favorite thing to do...

is swing! James would swing all day if we had the time (and the patience!). We are also working on saying "Grandma" since he is going to see both of his grandmas in the next week. I'm sorry that the video is side-ways. I am not technologically savvy enough to figure out how to rotate it, so you may get a neckache as you watch it.

Our baby gets a haircut

James got his first haircut this afternoon - he is growing up so fast! I was a little out of control with the camera and took 49 pictures of the event...don't worry I won't blog them all! James did great during the process. He just babbled at Doug and the stylist while she worked.

Some "before" pictures:

And done! What a handsome little man.

Long Overdue

This post would have happened about a month ago if I hadn't lost my camera! The lost is now found and I am able to post the pictures from our trip to Minnesota and North Dakota. The primary reason for the trip was to attend my good friend Andrea's wedding. Paula and Whitney made the trip with James and I.
I didn't get any great pictures of the bride and groom - this one was the best and it shows how beautiful Andrea's dress was.

Whitney and James at the reception...looking pretty cute in their wedding clothes!

Paula and I enjoying our night after our babysitters took over with the kids.

My friend, Fox, Andrea, and I - all friends from college.

Paula, Whitney, James and I also got to see some of my friends from college.

Here are James and Luke, my friend Jen Ha's son.

And we got to meet my friend Zupfer's son, Oliver.

And finally, one day we headed to the Minneapolis farmer's market with Paula's friend Becky and her son, Jack. Here are all 3 babies getting ready for the market.

The Garage

Grant, Paula, Elliot, and Whitney drove to Colorado last week so Grant could build our garage addition. Doug and Grant worked hard for 4 1/2 days to make the addition happen and it turned out great! I photographed all stages of the project:
Baby break!
Another baby break!
The finished product!

The Kids

While Grant and Doug were building the garage, Paula and I entertained the kids.
Elliot helped me pick vegetables from our garden. We picked zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and beans. He was a great little helper!

James and Whitney both like to sit and smile.

We hung out in our backyard alot too. That way we could keep our eye on the guys and make sure they were working. :) In this picture, James is trying to steal Whitney's pacifier which was a commen occurence between the two of them.

Tricia, Dan, and Nathan came one day so Dan could help pound in a few nails. Tricia brought a great sprinkler for the kids to play in which we set up in the front driveway. The concrete got well-watered as did the kids.

James

Nathan and James picked some petunias after dinner on the deck.

Also, while the garage project was going on, my uncle and aunt, Mick and Cheri, and cousins, Casey and Lindsay, were in Denver for a vacation. We had everyone over for brunch and visiting. The next 2 pictures are for Grandma Tookie.

And of course, all 3 kids had to bath together!
