Let's Go Fly A Kite

We live in a great city...there are lots of family-focused activities to take advantage of. Yesterday was the Arvada Kite Festival which is held about 3 blocks from our house. Doug became a champion kite flier with his helpers.

This picture doesn't really show just how laden the ski was with kites.

Charlie was happy that one booth was handing out free balloons.

The kite festival also had a train and of course, James had to ride.

Easter

A happy Easter was celebrated at our house yesterday with lots of cousins and friends.
James was anti-posing but still a cute picture of him, Charlie, and Sophie.

Charlie - almost 20 months old!

After dinner, the kids dyed Easter eggs on the deck. It was a beautiful day and I was glad this task could be accomplished outside.

Spring Breaks

My spring break was a couple weeks ago and most of my readers probably know the story of our failed trip that still had a happy ending.

The boys had a great time that week with Auntie Susie and Auntie Jeanene! They got to spend some time with Nathan too. Here they are on our deck and outside of the Butterfly Pavilion.

Doug and I spent the week in Colorado Springs at a great resort - The Broadmoor. We highly recommend it! This was the view from our window.

We did a few touristy things like visit the Will Rogers Shrine of Light.

And even preschoolers get spring break! So Doug took the boys to Casper to visit his folks and his aunt and uncle.

The best part? They have a hot tub!
